2020 — The year we all ditched the treadmill

Much has been made lately of the “Great Resignation” of 2021. The pandemic opened many eyes to the frantic pace of the lives we led. As jobs lost permanence, lost benefits, lost clear career paths, industrious America embraced gig work and side hustles, rationalizing all the hard work would one day pay off.

Then everything ground to a halt.
