Face It Trump Voters, You Voted for a Warmonger
This will not end well.
The story of Trump’s return from political pariah to the highest office in the nation is full of hyperbole and bombast.
Among his many claims, Trump said he would end the war between Russia and Ukraine on day one. A war that “never would’ve started” if he’d been President. And a claim he’s since dismissed as sarcasm.
In fact, he often promised to steer the country away from global conflict. He accused Biden and Harris of pushing for endless wars. Even called Liz Cheney a “Muslim-hating warmonger.”
Yet here we are, two months into Trump’s term, and we seem to be barreling down a path toward one conflict after another.
His supporters often cite his first term as being free of any new military adventurism. No new wars. A final dressing of the old wounds in Afghanistan. But the claim isn’t quite true.
Literally on his way out of office, Trump ordered the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
Soleimani was said to be a master of asymmetric warfare. His QUDs Force allegedly instrumental in the construction of the network of tunnels beneath Gaza used by Hamas.
